General description

OptiPrep™ Density Gradient Medium is a sterile, endotoxin-tested solution of 60% (w/v) iodixanol in the water designed for the in vitro isolation of biological particles. It can be used for the fractionation and separation of cellular and subcellular organelles.

Application

OptiPrep™ density gradient medium has been used in the isolation of non-enveloped virions from bronchoalveolar lavage. The density gradient is also suitable for:

• isolation of cells and cell organelles
• virus purification
• isolation of lipoproteins and macromolecules
• neural cell purification
